NOVEMBER STATE OF THE GAME

⏵ November State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! Welcome to almost December! Our December plans mod-wise are fairly minimal - we have our intro/mingle log going up later this evening (with a surprise twist!) and then another intro log going up December 20th, but no other mod logs planned between then. We will use this time to focus on individual player plots (so please submit those if you'd like!) and catch up with other mod work, such as the locations page. In the meantime, we hope you all have a nice holiday season! Our next feedback post is going up on December 19th - but we welcome feedback throughout the year regardless of if there's a specific post asking for it! If you have any comments, questions, concerns, our Mod Contact page is always open! The feedback post provides a non-screened space for players to communicate with the mod team, and we do our best to respond to concerns brought to us there - as well as respond to suggestions. ABOUT YOU: My most prevalent and longest-term love is critically-acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, but I’m also big into D&D, Dropout media (I see you there, Fantasy High cast), and a smattering of animanga and video games. I’m currently neck-deep in the new Dragon Age and have been quite enjoying it! I work reception and permit processing for my day job and it’s very much feast or famine, so my most active times are usually right smack in the middle of the work day. I tend toward snappy, boomerang-y tags but if the spirit takes me I can pump out a small novel. I try to touch tags when I can on the weekend but no promises as that’s when I’m usually busiest!

CHARACTER: Ivan Niklaus // Original
CHARACTER INFO: The elevator pitch: A ye old wizard turns to Necromancy to save his dying wife, but commits crimes against the natural order so great he’s stuck doing community service for Death as a grim reaper, unable to die until his debt is repaid.

Still kicking around some 600 years later, Ivan is a quiet, perpetually tired-looking man who definitely gives off weird, deathy vibes to anyone sensitive to that kind of thing. He’s a bit taciturn and a little weird, but kind when it counts… though being unable to die does him no favors in terms of self-preservation. This man has more baggage than a luggage store and is so, so bad at dealing with it.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Look man I’m just happy to be here. In all seriousness, Ivan is very much interested in the “why” of everything going on – especially why someone like him of all people was brought here. He’s more than happy to get into dangerous situations, but I would love chances for him to learn how to treat himself a bit better and not be so reckless. SO! Action is great! Mystery is great!

I'm currently in the grips of Slowvember but I have to stop by any comment introducing 'guy who committed unspeakable crimes for Love and then it didn't even work'. I'm Beth, the player of this teen supervillain named Krouse who committed unspeakable crimes for His Girlfriend and you won't believe what happened (it didn't even work). Krouse is interested in the way Etraya works, especially when it comes to death, so perhaps it'd be neat to bump them into each other some time!

My mostly normal PI here recently acquired the ability to see ghosts and is going to end up looking at your guy with so much suspicion because he has no idea what he's even dealing with here.

I'm Basil, and this guy is my OC Shelley. He's an utter disaster with no self preservation as well and he regularly suffers for this. I'm thinking that things could be really wild here
