⏵ October State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! Welcome to the end of October! We hope you enjoy the Halloweeny mingle log that is going up alongside this post. 🎃 As a heads up: headmod will take a bit of a break through November due to life getting busy elsewhere! However, the mission, TDM, and everything else will go up as scheduled. Mod responses may be a little slower (as they have been through October also due to how unexpectedly busy it's been, our bad!) but outside of that, everything should still be running as usual! November is a mission month, but it will be a little more light-hearted in comparison to the previous mission! Using the feedback we received on our last post, we will be condensing the amount of time missions run down to one to two weeks, but will keep our schedule otherwise the same as it has been. This should, hopefully, give players time to complete their mission threads while also leaving plenty of space for characters to get into shenanigans around Etraya itself. If you have any questions, please put them under the mod queries top-level below. Additionally, don't forget your Activity! ABOUT YOU: i am a college educator living in the EST time zone, so there are times of the semester when i'm busier than others (registration just opened for us this week, so sorry for the slow on tdm tags!). star wars and marvel make up my personal hotel california, aka i can check out anytime i like but i can never leave, and i'm into a lot of other tv, both prestige and... less so, films, comics, and books! as previously mentioned, my tag speed can vary wildly depending on what's going on with work and other things, but i am always happy to boomerang if we're both online and we want to knock something out quickly c: i love logs, and text threads are great, too! i also really enjoy the spontaneity of rp and just seeing what happens when we throw things together, so i'm pretty much easy peasy lemon squeezy

CHARACTER: wanda maximoff, marvel cinematic universe edition; her canon point is post-dr. strange in the multiverse of madness
CHARACTER INFO: have you ever wondered what would happen if you combined childhood trauma, an obsession with television sitcoms and a penchant for escapism to deal with said trauma, a continual conga line of grief that keeps moving past childhood, and magic so strong it can remake reality? look no further than this witch! wanda's had a very hard life, which has been made even more complicated by the fact that she's arguably one of the most powerful magic users in her universe. ultimately, she has a good heart and wants to help, but it can be especially hard for her to control her powers in states of emotional distress. she's also grieving the losses of pretty much everyone she's ever loved, so it may take some time for her to fully open up to others — but she's got a lot to give, and as she heals more, that will come through more and more.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: at the current time, wanda feels like she has much to atone for, especially her actions in wandavision and multiverse of madness — so she'd leap at the chance to try to be a "good representative" for her universe. ultimately, though, she will be interested in what's going on outside of missions; she'll want to know how and why they got here, what's outside of the bubble, etc. eventually, she may even start to test the boundaries — which can totally end well for everyone involved, right? those are just some ideas coming from me spitballing as of right now, so i'm also open to seeing how things evolve and what sorts of shenanigans we might get into!

damian is constantly finding things to dig into re: etraya, the bubble, the mystery around it, and if wanda can tolerate a shortie being bossy and demanding, damian is lacking a witch in his current collection of detectives/heroes/people he considers sidekicks which he clearly needs to fix

oh my gosh, this cr would be amazing, actually, because damian at this point isn't much older than her billy and tommy were when she lost them, so in addition to digging into things and... definitely tolerating the bossiness — mothering activated LMAO whether he wants it or not, she will absolutely look out for him and make sure he eats his vegetables.

i gotta say that the moment chrollo sees her skills, he'll want to steal them (and he can't do it with characters that aren't from his canon and doesn't know yet, so that's fun for me personally!), would that be something you'd be interested in?

i would absolutely be up for this 😌 wanda has definitely been approaching being here and around others with caution, but as soon as this happens, because it's reminiscent of what agatha attempted to do to her, she'll get angry and show that side of her — which is always fun for me to play with! love a first meeting going really badly :')

he has a whole set of conditions to do it, it's not very straight forward, but this is DELICIOUS to play around and get him to realize he is stuck with the ones he currently has.

since nen is the power source in hxh, and he can steal nen, he technically can't still anyone's.... also agatha is the one from wandavision right that's where i stopped on wanda's journey!

this is so fascinating, i'm learning a lot today; i will confess i am canonblind to hxh outside of rp osmosis, but we've got this! i love the possibilities of getting to play around with this so much :') chrollo learns he's stuck with what he has, and wanda maybe displays a little power and anger when she isn't meaning to, because she's trying not to have people view her here like they do in canon — and i, personally, am itching for an opportunity for that, so YES

also yes! agatha is from wandavision, and she's trying to learn about wanda's power and eventually steal it for herself at one point haha, so a little triggering for wanda! i truly love a mess
