⏵ March State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello and welcome to Etraya! We were very excited to see all the players interested in our new game when we put up our interest check, and are glad to have you guys join us! Thank you for applying to join Etraya and giving our game a chance. At this point, we have 35 Characters who have applied in for our first round. Given that applications do not close until 3PM PST today, there is still time to get in any last-minute applications! As a heads up, we have updated our FAQ to reflect that mod posts, including mission posts and OOC intros, will be posted at or before 3PM PST on the day they are meant to go up. We don't want to give ourselves a strict time, given we appreciate having the flexibility to make last-minute changes as needed to suit our player base, but do promise we will get them up by 3PM PST. We'll be updating our LOCATIONS page over the next week with additional places based on those who applied and were accepted; if there's any location you would like to see in particular, please feel free to use the provided form so we can get it added! Additionally, please check out our CALENDAR noting the dates of the upcoming mission and Activity Check due dates. For new characters, activity is simply responding to the ACTIVITY CHECK page using the formatting provided. Hi, I'm Starfighter. I am a thousand years old or somewhere around there, chronically online and a forever MSTie. I enjoy anime, books, dramas, manga, webtoons and video games of all sorts but I'm equally always chronically behind on everything. My favorite fandom is Silent Hill, my favorite genre is psychological horror / survival horror, the ARG I'm into at the moment is Welcome Home and the more obscure something is the more I like it apparently so bring it to me.

CHARACTER: Hayan Park, Unholy Blood.

CHARACTER INFO:
Hayan worked real hard to save Korea from being overrun by vampires and she's not exactly thrilled to hear it's done for. She had a guy to kill and everything, how dare you!

Okay for real though, Hayan is a sweetheart. She is one of the last remaining pureblood vampires -- in her world that means she was born a vampire and is pretty overpowered to boot. Her parents had a huge sense of noblesse oblige, seeing it as their duty to protect humans due to their strength. They lived quiet lives in human guises, running a restaurant of all things and generally keeping their little space of home free from trouble.

Well, until Hayan developed a friendship with Yohan Seo. In the end her parents were murdered, she witnessed it at the age of ten and mentally blocked it out for ten more years. Eventually she was found and taken in by Father Michael. The thorn crown she wears in times of stress when her Awakened state threatens to break free was given to her as a child by him to control her inadvertent dropping of her human guise. After Father Michael's death though Hayan got so angry she broke her ability to go back to her human guise even with the crown. Sometimes she wears contacts and a wig now but she doesn't bother with it for much of the series.

All Hayan has ever really wanted was to make friends and go to school. She is exceptionally sweet-natured when she's not fiending for Yohan Seo's death. She has a big sense of responsibility to help others, particularly humans, and she will go to the bat for damn near anyone who isn't an utter asshole.

CR NOTES:
* FRIENDS! Friends! Hayan yearns for friends she can be casual and open with.
* Enemies? I'm down for negative CR too, though Hayan is sort of the type to punch first nowadays.
* Romance? Ships? Sure, I'm game. In canon she's got a budding thing for her partner-in-detective Euntae Hwang but I'm open to others if the chemistry is good.
* VAMPIRE FRIENDS. Supernatural friends! Y'all with sensitive noses to non-humans will note that Hayan smells like blood and power. Whatever high level vampires you've got in your world she likely smells a lot like them. Or feels like them power-wise if that's your thing. She frightens the hell out of lower level vampires by her sheer presence in the series.

I enjoyed Natsuno and Hayan's tdm thread and would definitely like more of that vampire CR. Natsuno never had someone to share the vampire experience with, so that could be fun.

NGL absolutely loved that thread. Hayan hasn't ever gotten to talk to another vampire anywhere near friendly in quite a while.

They're gonna be best friends, Natsuno. Trust me here.

Totally canonblind here but I'm intrigued by Hayan!! Would be interested to see where CR with her good go - Rita used to be terrified of the supernatural but has become more accustomed to some parts of it, and I think it'd be interesting for her to meet more vampires especially (she's dating Natsuno but he's the only vampire she knows). Also it's really cute that she just wants friends and normalcy...

Well you're in luck because there's nothing Hayan likes better than making friends! She was going to college before everything started for her in canon and she had friends there (though none of them knew she was a vampire).

Hayan's different from Natsuno in several ways but she's equally very committed to making sure humans are comfortable around her.

Nice! A little vampire-human socialization... Rita has a ton of attitude but she's also in the camp of "what you are doesn't matter, it's who you are/what you do" so she'd go to bat for Hayan if she thinks she's trustworthy.

Just don't get too creeped out by her blood consumption.

It's fine Rita kept telling a necromancer his blood magic was creepy but then turned around and prepared sippy cups of blood for Natsuno when he wasn't feeling well...she's not biased at all... (She is maybe a little biased and needs to work on that.)

Anyway I'd love for these two to meet at some point and see how they hit it off! Especially interested to learn more about Hayan too, she seems like a fun character.

unholy blood has been on my to-read list for a while so i'm still pretty canon blind but she seems like someone bucky would get along fabulously with! friends you can be open with are definitely great.

Naturally I recommend it, haha. Hayan is very much a "super saiyan vampire" after a little while, that was my review of it anyhow. A fun read!

I'm so glad to meet other Welcome Home fans! I've got my Wally plush, I've ordered Barnaby next and a Julie journal to complete my thirst for this ARG, hahaha.
