⏵ March State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello and welcome to Etraya! We were very excited to see all the players interested in our new game when we put up our interest check, and are glad to have you guys join us! Thank you for applying to join Etraya and giving our game a chance. At this point, we have 35 Characters who have applied in for our first round. Given that applications do not close until 3PM PST today, there is still time to get in any last-minute applications! As a heads up, we have updated our FAQ to reflect that mod posts, including mission posts and OOC intros, will be posted at or before 3PM PST on the day they are meant to go up. We don't want to give ourselves a strict time, given we appreciate having the flexibility to make last-minute changes as needed to suit our player base, but do promise we will get them up by 3PM PST. We'll be updating our LOCATIONS page over the next week with additional places based on those who applied and were accepted; if there's any location you would like to see in particular, please feel free to use the provided form so we can get it added! Additionally, please check out our CALENDAR noting the dates of the upcoming mission and Activity Check due dates. For new characters, activity is simply responding to the ACTIVITY CHECK page using the formatting provided. ABOUT YOU: I write a lot. Sylvie here is from a novel I finished around X-mas and am still working towards self-publishing. I talk about that pretty extensively. History nerd (currently the Roaring Twenties, but I've worked with general 19th century a lot too, plus Ancient Greece)... I dunno, the last show I binged was Our Flag Means Death, but I really don't watch a lot of popular media. I love ballet and French literature. I'm on disability and tag all throughout the day my time, but since I'm CET/CEST-bound, I will be asleep while most of you people are active. I do try to backtag pretty consistently, though. You can always tell a tag is mine by my massive introspection, although I'm trying to rein it in a bit these days. Also, I haven't been in a game for five+ years, I don't know what I'm doing.

CHARACTER: Sylvie Gallard, she's an original. The main character from my novel, Lest They Leave.
CHARACTER INFO: Just your average Roaring Twenties gal; Sylvie will probably spend a good while thinking she's dreaming and figure out the tech, lol, but once she's convinced it's all real and true, well, she's here to make friends, support and be supported, always look on the bright side and try not to be haunted by too many of her personal ghosts. CR NOTES: Found family is my thing, always looking for that. And friends. But also just people to make her look more realistically at the world, argue with her about her naive beliefs, people who are willing to like her as she is but also help make her grow as a person... Anything, really, that can help her develop. Her story is about character growth and I would love to see how far exactly I can take her.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: World exploration and anything/everything that involves emotional stuff, plots that force characters to work with their own feelings, memories, etc.

Rin is also going through a whole coming-of-age story, but she's already gone a bit of a way! She can now come up with elaborate gambits and utilize explosives! Yay?

I see that coming-of-age story characters need to unite, here, and Rin should teach Sylvie the art of gambits, because she has no clue. No clue whatsoever.

I loved their TDM thread and I could totally see Sylvie imprint on Anakin and Padmé. Would love for Anakin to, like, teach her to fight or something. I think that could be fun. Like a mini!Padawan (very mini).

oh my god don't imprint on the worst person ever, not even padme can balance that out!

and yes he will totally teach her! he's actually not bad as a teacher and while he's definitely going to keep in mind the point of them all being here, teaching her isn't going to make him feel like it's a risk.

You see, Sylvie has a very bad habit of imprinting on the worst people until someone shows her a better path, so until that happens, you're stuck with her, Anakin.

She will be a terrible student but she will do her best and work her hardest and probably fall flat on her face so many times.
