Hello, Etrayans! Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in becoming a list keeping mod! We have gotten additional help now and already have made several improvements/updates to our game pages. Some of these were made a few weeks ago with heads up via plurk and the mod announcements channel on Discord, but we wanted to make sure we noted them clearly here, too!

• The Taken Page now has the AC comments for every character listed beside their information. This streamlines the AC process a bit, and also removes the need for the quicklinks on the bottom of the Activity Check page.
• Speaking of the Activity Check page, we now have a hiatus option listed to streamline giving out solo missions when needed, as well as giving players more options when they need to step away from RP.

  If taking a hiatus is required for a specific month, please use the formatting of "(MONTH, YEAR, HIATUS)". In example, "AUGUST 2025 HIATUS" would be a suitable subject line. You may use the following template. If more than one month is necessary, please note it under the duration portion.
  
  When a hiatus or player absence goes through a mission, you are welcome to handwave your character participating, or request a reason for them to be absent. This could include running errands for Aurora, or a solo mission. Please let us know either in your Hiatus comment, or on the Mod Contact post, if this is needed. If a solo mission is chosen, please feel free to list what you would like your character to explore! This can be as descriptive of "Doing detective work or "learning more about Etraya". We'll come back with something built to suit them specifically.

In regards to the Earth-2 Mission and the anomaly that Etrayans had been sent to find - the anomaly had quickly attached itself to Nate Grey after his arrival! You can read up on how that ended HERE on the OOC comm and ask Missy any follow up questions if you have them! We hope you enjoyed the mission!

ABOUT YOU: Hi! I'm a big nerd from the NYC area and am interested in/plurk about fandomy things, particularly video games (past faves include Kingdom Hearts, Uncharted, various Dragon Ages, Assassin's Creeds and the Horizon games — I do love a well-made open world game) plus travel, food, distance running (my ill-advised primary out-of-home hobby), general life stuff. I was a huge superhero comics fan in my youth and kind of fell off after one too many reboots, but the new Superman movie absolutely awakened something core in me haha.

CHARACTER: Clark Kent/Superman of the (2025) Supermans. Supermen? Whatever.

CHARACTER INFO: He's a sunshine golden retriever but (crucially) not a doormat. This Superman is relatively early in his careers — he is in no way a newbie when it comes to both superheroing and journalism, but he does not fully have his shit together for either. He also just had the worst week of of his fucking life and is still grappling with a drastic shift in his sense of identity and purpose. Clark is a really friendly dude and likes people a lot, so he will be extremely interested in learning about the other people of Etraya and their experiences here/in their home worlds.

Some character stuff I'd like to explore:
• He's used to existing in a world where plenty of metahumans exist, but they are a relative minority. Not so in Etraya, which I think he'd find interesting.
• Maintaining his secret identity is a huge part of Clark's normal daily life, but in Etraya, doing so seems 1) largely unnecessary 2) functionally impossible, so he'll have to sort out how he wants to go about not being able to have this bifurcated existence. This will be complicated by the presence of his parasocially obsessed nemesis! Clark is also used to relying on hypno glasses as a big part of maintaining the secret, but he does not have those in Etraya and never will. (This may or may not be weird, but if a different version of Clark Kent shared his secret identity with a character, that will probably go a decent way towards establishing positive CR. Clark figures his other self would only have done that for a good reason!)
• Due to Movie Plot, Clark is feeling pretty raw about the legacy his biological parents left him and what that means for his future. A great pep talk from Pa Kent has helped a lot with this, but he's barely even started unpacking all this emotionally and is gonna feel fucky about it for a while.
• The man has no experience with multiverses whatsoever and is working on wrapping his brain around the various Super-people already present. Also apparently he has an alternate reality SON? See above re: fucky parent feelings, I'm sure this will all go smoothly ha ha ha ha.
• He's pretty sure his situationship got upgraded to actual relationship right before he got here so...how does one date in this scenario. What are the good restaurants.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Clark Does Not Approve of the idea of ohhhhhh not every universe can continue to exist so we'll just fight for ours to be one of the special survivors! All life is important, people :/ But he's here, so what's he gonna do, NOT make an effort on behalf of those who can't advocate for their own worlds?

So like I mentioned in the Discord chat, Kirk is an AU vampire Batman and he's best friends with Hernan. After landing in Etraya, Kirk has vaguely heard of there being an AU do-gooder Superman somewhere out in the multiverse so he'll be pretty curious about Clark and naturally, will want to compare. He'll be particularly curious if Clark's weaknesses line up with Hernan's. Hernan and Kirk already knew about the red sun rays but found out about kryptonite the hard way in Etraya. And recently Hernan got hurt by Renoir but Hernan and Kirk haven't worked out yet that there's a magic weakness involved.

For those who don't know her, she's an investigative reporter at the Daily Planet, which means her entirely livelihood is presently in the ??? phase because proving a world is worth saving by getting ferried around doing tasks is not where she figured her journalism journey would take her

CR wise please let her learn how to trust and also how to FURTHER NOT TRUST PEOPLE ahem, but I like her having to work with others in situations far outside of what her usual is. Lois doesn't have an inflated sense of her ability to handle combat (sorry just watch her with Mr. Terrific), but she's willing to Be There and try not to get hit in helping get done what she knows needs to get done.

I tend to run organic with CR developments, and I think expanding her many world views to the different places out there is a thought exercise she'll appreciate, even if she's also ??? ??? ??? but why though for being here in the first place.

Does Aurora just want someone to report on all this? Is that how we're playing it? (Lois will definitely be writing Some Kind Of Blog, she can't not, and anyone who wants to do character interviews are 100% welcome. She'd love to get the takes from people here already, short or long. Also what the missions have been like, and what the hell happened on Earth-2)

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: It's Lois Lane, she wants to deep dive anywhere she can into the motivations for why this is going on (real, which may be the exact same as stated but that's not the point), getting interviews with Aurora, with... Echo... with any sort of proof of pudding that worlds are saved or ended because of an internal point rubric is this city of cobbled together bits and pieces versus any other determining means. ABOUT YOU: I too am a Big Nerd but from the Midwest. I mostly talk about my job/life, One Piece, Resident Evil, Persona/SMT, and Hollow Knight (which I apologize to anyone who friends me. CHARACTER: Trafalgar D. Water Law from One Piece
CHARACTER INFO: Law is not the most easy person to get along with. He’s a self-taught doctor/surgeon who suffered through the genocide of his people and joined The Worst pirate crew at the age of 10. More trauma happened, he nearly died of an incurable disease, his benefactor was murdered in front of him (sort of), and became his own captain by the age of 13. Listen you can pack so much trauma into this guy.

He’s been to Etraya before, so he’ll definitely be annoyed that he’s back (and not in great shape thanks to the tdm arrival). He’ll want to actually get his hands on information this time, dig into Etraya and really understand what everyone has gotten into. He likes to have a plan, and they usually go pretty well (or they go horribly awry, see: Dressrosa). He’ll want to catch up on what he missed since he’s been gone, and really hit the ground running.

I’m interested in exploring him being more open about his Trauma and making new friends. He’s extremely loyal to his friends, but hard to become one because he doesn’t trust anyone, not at first. I’d like to see someone get into the cracks in his armor and help him really process Everything. There’s a lot so buckle up I guess.

CHARACTER: Aliarra Landsritter, a OC made under D&D rules -- 3.5!
CHARACTER INFO: Aliarra's been adventuring for twenty years and failing to achieve the one thing she wanted to in all that time, so she's more than a little grumpy, bitter, and cynical... but she's still an adventurer at heart, so a love of righteous battle and general do-gooding still forms her foundation. She's also straddling that fine line between having done it all and knowing there's so much out there that she still doesn't know, which is fortunate because this whole mess falls firmly in the latter category and she can recognize that. So she's at once very experienced and yet very adrift. Good times.

Needless to say, tech is new to her, though she can understand a lot of it under the heading of, "gee, magic is weird". In fact, she's going to understand almost everything through the D&D lens, and we'll see if time breaks her of that habit or at least modifies it slightly.

Biggest thing? She needs friends! She hasn't had a real one for twenty years now, having mostly left her home world and her former adventuring party behind. She's still got ranks in Diplomacy social graces when she needs to, but in a way she's kind of gone feral. Or at least stray.

Lois Lane's the other side of that and she's much more on the find out answers side of thing but brand new, has no answers. Frustrating for her!

CHARACTER: illyana rasputina/magik | marvel comics

CHARACTER INFO:
SO the cliffs notes version is that illyana is a mutant and member of the x-men who can create stepping discs, or teleportation portals. however, as a child she was kidnapped to a hell dimension named limbo by a demon lord, who aimed to use her pure soul to summon the elder gods he worshipped. illyana defeated him, became queen of limbo, and escaped as a teenager, but by that time he had fractured her soul into pieces and made her his apprentice in dark magic. she was left inextricably linked with limbo, with a corrupted soul and a volatile "demon form" that sometimes overtakes her.

so now illyana is a 25-year-old (ish, comics!!!) who has died multiple times, lost and regained her soul multiple times, is a sometimes ruler of limbo and sorceress, and also a member of the x-men. i.e., she gets to deal with people being terrified of her for being a mutant and also basically a demon queen. she's made a lot of strides forward, but still struggles with her connection to limbo and her lost childhood/trauma. over time she's become kind of a gremlin, with a biting sense of humor, a predilection for causing trouble, and a tendency to throw herself into fights. however, she's also incredibly loyal, super protective of those she views as innocent, and really determined to be a force for good, even if sometimes her way of solving issues isn't nearly as squeaky clean as some of her superhero buddies. she also loves to teach, especially magic, and has been a teacher at stephen strange's academy and in the x-men's various schools.

a fun little snag is that for the foreseeable future, illyana will be cut off from limbo for the first time since she was six years old. this will be a super mixed experience for her - while she hates what limbo represents and what it did to her, it's also a part of her, and she's going to struggle with that juxtaposition. she's also working through accepting her "darker" side and finally being able to control it. i'd also really love to have her build relationships with other characters and learn to relate to herself and others in healthier, more open ways!

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: i'm a sucker for the horror aspects, but i'm also excited to build cr with all sorts of different characters and, in general, have illyana explore the world and deal with the idea of universes being deemed "worthy" of saving!

If you want the suspicious one who's for truth and justice with trust hard earned along the way, I've definitely got that with her!

I also play Alex Won here, from a mobile gacha game, who is more action jock girlie who enjoys fighting and also is used to jumping in and out of tiny pocket realities generated by aliens who regularly attack her world. #joys People have Evols in her world that line up more with mutant style powers, and her is Resonance, which is... vibing. Honestly.

ABOUT YOU: I haven't been in an actual game in ages so let's see how this goes lmao. I'm a big ol' nerd mostly re: video games when RL and work isn't trying to grind me down. I love ofc Clair Obscur, The Witcher (don't talk to me about the Netflix thing, pls...), some Assassin's Creeds, HZD, BG3 to name a few. Also a big Tolkien nerd. Tagging speed varies, I have a slightly awkward GMT+2 timezone so I can rarely boomerang, but I usually try to hit tags back at least once per day.

CHARACTER: Lune | Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
CHARACTER INFO: Lune is a scholar, a resercher and a mage, so a big nerd. She's kind of intense, type A, goal-oriented sort of person, very sure of herself and her decisions, no nonsense given nor accepted. But on the flipside she's also incredibly curious to an almost childlike degree and easily enthralled by New Things! To Study!! Asking a bunch of questions and figuring out how things work is what she most loves to do. That, and play her guitar.

She's coming into Etraya right after the end of Act 2, iykyk. She's not gonna be entirely Okay for a little bit. The whole concept of multiverse will boggle her mind, but at the same time the researcher in her will be thrilled. Mostly she just wants to figure out what's going on with this whole set-up you've got going on, Aurora.....

I'm happy to lean into whatever organic CR develops! She's good with other nerds and practical sort of problem-solvers and magic users, but on the other hand I do love to throw her in with folks that are complete opposite and watch her :| at them.

ABOUT YOU: I read a lot of Chinese webcomics and webnovels, a lot of it is entertaining trash because I am a connoisseur. I am also into anime/manga (more the latter than the former just because I can read fast) and music theatre.

CHARACTER: Su You from Yi Pian Dan Xin (translated title was Deceiving a Loyal Heart)
CHARACTER INFO: A god/celestial who is also half-rabbit demon. A kind and straightforward person who is also short tempered and a little petty. He tends to be softhearted and will forgive most small things...eventually. He's been described by multiple people who know him in canon as looking like he'd be easily fooled....which is kind of true. But he can also be pretty perceptive at times. His preferred way of solving problems is just to fight them. He wants to understand human nature. He can turn into a rabbit.

Things I am looking for:
- Friends! Despite his temperament he's not actually unfriendly. He's curious about things he's never seen before and he's pretty well socialized. He's good for those characters who needs someone to see their good traits but also to call out their worse qualities.
- Morally grey characters. He's still determined to understand human nature so like, getting to know people with more dubious moral compasses is also good.


PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: He's more interested in why everyone was called here. As someone who has been brought up with the value of protecting people he would want to find a way to protect all worlds if possible.

Vincent is the product of an experiment that took place thirty years ago, but he looks 27 because he no longer ages thanks to an ancient weapon living rent free inside of him. He fights using guns and can transform into a monster, as well. Notable things about him include a lot of black leather, a blood red cloak, and eyes that don't match.

CHARACTER INFO: Gary starts out as the really annoyingly overzealous friendly guy that everyone kind of hates, but he kind of grows on you slowly, like mold. CHARACTER INFO: Rumi is a famous K-pop singer, part of the group known as Huntrix. However, she is also a demon hunter, sworn to defend the people from demons and unholy influences! This is her purpose, her destiny, her mission and she is solely committed to this.

However, her committment stems from underlying issues such as: being part demon herself. Her mother fell in love with a demon and had her. Which meant Rumi was constantly hiding herself, disguising her patterns and ensuring no one ever knew because she felt if they did, they wouldn't want anything to do with her.

She comes from the end of the movie where her stance on these issues have noticeably improved, but she's still figuring out who she is and who she is becoming.

My major fandom loves beyond Final Fantasy is Sailor Moon (and magical girl stuff all around), the Lunar Series, Mortal Kombat to name a few. I used to be super big into DC comics but I have fallen out of the loop of keeping up with things (I still know most of the general heroes/villains).

CHARACTER: Lex Luthor (Superman 2025)
CHARACTER INFO: Lex is a multibillionaire who is unfortunately extremely smart but also incredibly petty and despises anyone who's an alien or super powered. He hates all of it. Fortunately Superman is at the top of the list, and he's so consumed by that he probably won't do much to anyone else. Must kill Superman first. He's also a scientist/engineer and can do things from creating people to recreating the big bang.

I'm interested in any kind of CR, but forcing him to work along side types of people he doesn't like would be interesting. He will also be actually interested in making sure his universe is one that's saved, and probably won't completely go out of his way to self-sabotage that unless it might kill superman

If you'd like to avoid any big spoilers from the movie let me know! Major plot points probably won't come up anyway because he's not telling anyone his schemes.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I like character driven stuff for the most part, things that really get into why the characters are the way they are, but I'm pretty open to most things.

Early childhood teacher in New Zealand (kiwi) so I deal with my schedule being pretty opposite/weird for a lot of you. I adore red pandas and otters because I have a weakness for cute things. I love animation in general, manga/anime, Disney, Laika, Studio Ghibli, etc. The video games I usually play are rpgs, but occasionally something a bit different, like the Last of Us, which I play for the story/characters. I can be a bit slower with tags since I can't usually boomerang given my timezone, but I do try if I can manage. Usually I try to get through my inbox every day or so.

CHARACTER: Vivi Ornitier, from Final Fantasy IX.
CHARACTER INFO:

Vivi is a baby. Which is to say, he's technically like. A few months old, but physically is about nine years old. He's also a black mage, which means he essentially controls elemental magic and things like poison/sleep to support his friends in battle using his staff.

He's shy, clumsy, and really gullible, but he's getting more confident and learning more about the world since meeting Zidane and the others. His whole journey is basically around finding out more about himself/the other black mages. He is a prototype that fell off the airship and was initially raised to...er....be eaten, except he never grew any bigger and his 'grandpa' died before he ate the little guy. Vivi is gradually learning to take each day as it comes and to make the most of every minute, since he learns that black mages tend to live for about a year. I love this game, but do not let the cuteness fool you, guys, it's. Heavy.

idk I'm down for shenanigans. Vivi is pretty versatile in that he can easily be persuaded to tag along with whatever. He's used to following his friends into danger and chaos and weirdness. It's fine. Probably.

Recently, he's learned that he doesn't have to worry about his shorter lifespan here in Etraya, so he's. Gonna be dealing with that and what to make of it. Also maybe something with his insecurities about his appearance, since Aurora gave him a necklace that can help him appear human to blend in.

VIVI!!! I love Final Fantasy but I'm embarrassed to admit I've only played og 7, 8, 10, 10-2, and 15 properly. I would love for some shenanigans between him and Heather at some point. She has a pet rat who does tricks, she runs the deli and offers a listening service to characters in Etraya who might need a listening ear or two.
