⏵ June State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! We hope you enjoyed your time at Summer Camp! Or if your character had the fun of going off to Solmara, we hope they enjoyed fighting beasts, and convincing Borealis to come out of hiding! For this application round, we have opted to keep them open an additional week. We announced this over plurk, but realize not everyone checks there! Their new closure date will be July 4th. This will not impact our log or posting schedule at all. In addition, as of today, June 27th, the X-Men cast is no longer under cap. We've got our arrival mingle going up later today to welcome new characters! Please keep an eye out for it. On July 11th, our mission announcement and plotting post will be going up. We do want to note that this next mission will be off world, and we intend for its' duration to be four weeks. As always, we strive to be flexible and build our missions up to suit our player base/characters currently in game, so if we need to slow it down some or put up any additional logs mid-mission, we may check in with our players during to get a feel on if that would help any. Our last feedback post went up on June 19th with our next coming up on September 18th - but we welcome feedback throughout the year regardless of if there's a specific post asking for it! You are always welcome to comment to our older feedback posts with any concerns, comments, or ideas of what we can do to improve the game. We can't promise to bring everything into play, but we do listen to the ideas that have been brought our way and have implemented many player suggestions in the past. ABOUT YOU: i've been roleplaying for many years, but this is my first time joining a game! i'm actually new to dwrp as a whole - only started a few months ago. i've been learning the ropes, albeit slowly, after migrating from other sites. i love the sonic series & the blue dude is one of my favorite characters, so i was excited to see other sonic canons here! outside of 'hog, i'm big into final fantasy, specifically vii, xvi, and xiv. i read a lot in my spare time and enjoy a good musical. tagging speed varies quite a bit due to my busy schedule, but i try to respond in reasonable time!

CHARACTER: sonic t. hedgehog - more specifically, sonic as he's seen in the games.
CHARACTER INFO: ^ i had trouble deciding between that and idw, because they're... sorta one in the same in the eyes of sonic canon at the moment? but i wanted to write him as post-frontiers, and idw hasn't caught up to that yet, so here we are!

i'd describe sonic as a character to be "simple yet effective." when speaking to him for the first time, rest assured you're receiving him at his most genuine. what you see is what you get and all that. he's laidback, friendly, and always happy to meet someone new. despite that, he can be quite flighty - likes to wander and do his own thing, so getting to know him can be difficult if you aren't actively trying. however, a setting such as this means he'll have his feet a little more firmly planted! i am a big enjoyer of crossovers and love writing sonic against pretty much anyone. he's versatile!
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: anything and everything! sonic lends himself to the whole "new world" thing well, so exploration + mystery is very welcomed. other genres such as action or horror are equally as fun! as the protagonist of his series, sonic usually emerges from conflict without a scratch, so i think it'd be interesting to write him out of his depth. get some emotionality out of him. ( & of course, building character relations, both positive and negative. )
