⏵ April State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! We’ve had a huge second application round. Our original planned player cap for Raya was about 30 players. As of this post, our count is 67 players, and 72 characters. Our mod team’s excited about how big our little project has become, and we’re so glad to have you guys here! To that extent, we’re going to be raising our player cap to 60 and keeping it there. The number of players we have over this is fine! We’ll just be planning to maintain it at under 60 going forward. Our FAQ notes that we do not have caps on casts, but may implement them if a particular cast grows too large. At this point in time, we have 9 members of the DC batcast. Instead of implementing a cap on the entirety of DC Comics, especially given the variety of casts within it, we're going to implement a temporary cap on Gotham specific DCs. Until this is removed, players are welcome to app others, such as Zatanna, Supergirl, or Hal Jordan, but cannot app Harley Quinn, any of the Robins, Batmen, or associates that generally stay within Gotham. We recognize this line is not clear-cut. If there are any questions, please feel free to direct them here. If we receive any reserves or applications for characters that may be riding the line, we’ll reach out to the player affected. Applications are still open until 3PM PST today, April 26th, for any last-minute app needs. The mod team has been editing other FAQ entries as well! Our What is the city like?, Added Locations, Native Population, Appable Characters, and Cast Caps have been edited for clarity, and to add in a few modifications as listed above. We'll be updating our LOCATIONS page over the next week with additional places based on those who applied and were accepted; if there's any location you would like to see in particular, please feel free to use the provided form so we can get it added! Additionally, please check out our CALENDAR noting the dates of the upcoming mission and Activity Check due dates. For new characters, activity is simply responding to the ACTIVITY CHECK page using the formatting provided. Those who have not completed this by the day AC closes will be removed from the game. YEAH I think poor Clint is going to suffer a little from the Ollie comparison until Dick actually gets to meet him (sorry Clint) but I definitely want to see what happens with them and where it goes

but! Dick will do his best to wrangle Damian (no shooting the people who might be allies, Robin) and I think he and Clint will be a really interesting and fun mix! Dick, too, has led offshoots of main hero teams (not quite like the Thunderbolts, but still) and has a lot of familiarity with mentoring a newcomer to his own name/mantle

dick may have the edge in all respects here, given the way the wca blew up (and... his marriage at the same time), given the way the fucking t-bolts blew up and

can we really say it's mentoring when it's hawkeye and hawkeye though...

True, Dick was Batman at the time, so the process was more like this.

And he's definitely had his own blow ups and failures (ask him about the time he faked his death and left his family grieving for years while he went undercover!) so it might be more even than you think!
