ABOUT YOU: currently, I'm deep in Hades II brain rot but I'm also a long-time Final Fantasy fan. I enjoy 90s shoujo anime a lot. The most recent canon I binge watched was Arcane. outside of rp and digital hobbies though, I enjoy watercoloring and cross-stitching/embroidery.
CHARACTER: Ardyn Izunia
CHARACTER INFO: Ardyn is, on a surface level, very theatrical and seemingly unbothered by a lot. The man doesn't appear to take much seriously and makes jokes or pokes fun in even dire circumstances. He can come across as creepy, suggestive but also civil, composed, and calm even in the face of hostility.
This is all just thinly veiled attempts to provoke others though since he's basically got some literal demonic sludge disease in his body that tells him to be an asshole. He also is just kind of an asshole sometimes without it needing to influence him, but still! He's a man who believes revenge is a dish best served cold, meticulously, and over several years but also wants an end to his exhausting, miserable existence once he gets it. Nihilism, babe-y!
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: personally, my favorite genres are horror (body, psychological, etc.) and I tend to gravitate towards the darker, grittier plotlines as a result. I'm fine with fluff and softness in doses, but prefer things to be at least some flavor of fucked up!
ardyn is also, notably, a villainous type who comes with a lot of potential content warnings so be mindful of that. he's going to struggle a bit at first having his one sole purpose in life ripped out from under him and needing to re-direct. once over that crisis though, it won't be long before he'll be looking to start causing problems on purpose here. he doesn't buy the whole schtick that their worlds are actually dead or that he was brought here because of his """potential."""
basically, he's going to see if he misbehaves enough if they'll kick him out and he can go back to dying according to his narrative instead of this one. thanks but no thanks, Echo, he's got other plans.

ABOUT YOU: I'm terrible at introductions, so uh. Hi, I'm Rune, I'm new here. Current fandoms: Final Fantasies of most flavors, Palworld, Warcraft, I've dipped a toe into Murderbot Diaries. I spent way too much time playing Valheim, and I have a ... vague familiarity with Fate/Grand Order. I have no cool things to share. :| Long tags vs short tags depends on the situation, I'm happy with either! Sometimes I can boomerang but more often ... not, I admit i can be a bit slow.
CHARACTER: I am bringing in Sephiroth, circa Ever Crisis and a bit of CRAU; he's a grand total of 16 and already his life is a living hell, thanks Squeenix.
CHARACTER INFO: Sephiroth is what happens when you bioengineer yourself up a weapon and then spend his entire life teaching him how to murder everything that moves and that human connections are not only completely irrelevant, they're a weakness to be avoided. Unfortunately for Shinra's plans and Hojo's efforts, he does somehow possess a moral compass and is at his heart a good kid who genuinely wants to help and do the right thing, he's just been burned enough where he's wary of reaching out these days.
... He's also not particularly social, is suspicious of anything like Found Family, is slow to trust and is verbally vehemently anti-friendship. He is CAPABLE of friendship and until recently even had a couple, though he refused to actually acknowledge it, and once he decides someone's worth knowing he is tenaciously loyal. This is paired with a strong sense of curiosity and desire to know and learn things, which frequently compels him to act when otherwise he might choose to avoid everyone and everything as long as possible. He has extreme mommy issues, thanks to knowing real mom ditched him, fake mom is an alien, and crau dragon mom is ENTIRELY MISSING. It's going to take him a while to settle in properly, but the intense relief he has over at least looking mostly human again is going to color things for a while.. as is the loss of what few friends and family he'd gathered for himself by virtue of being here. As of right now, I'm not aiming for any particular CR besides "play with me pls", too fresh and shiny new! Gotta look around and see the options.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Ah man. Aside from sexyplots, I can't say there isn't a sort of RP and plot I'm NOT interested in. Soft fluffy cuddle type plots are a bit hard to get involved in, but exploration, mysteries and mayhem are always effortless. I do like a balance of horrific soul destroying angst and nice recovery time in between.

CHARACTER: Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat from Marvel Comics
CHARACTER INFO: Felicia is not the type that's easy to ignore. She's not an introvert, so making friends with her should be easy. Since she's familiar with the multiverse (can't even count how many Spiders she knows...), she should settle into the game just fine. If you need a master thief for some job or just a good drinking partner, Felicia's your girl! She also makes great eye-candy at parties. She comes with a whole list of gear and some unique abilities, which can all be found on her info page.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I would love to see her get her into some kind of heist, maybe helping those who are trying to crack open the mystery of this world. I'm also looking forward to general CR and seeing who she vibes with.

CHARACTER: Peter Graham from the psychological horror A24 movie, Hereditary. As a heads up, this is an extremely dark canon with a lot of very heavy material involved. I'm absolutely not going to be throwing out the worst stuff or gnarly details without discussion & content warnings, but Peter's introspection will often just generally include dark themes!
CHARACTER INFO: +1 tragedy stoner riddled with demons both metaphorical and literal, here... Peter is a severely traumatised teenager from a severely dysfunctional family who also happens to have ~inherited the fate of being the vessel for an ancient, goetic demon king of Hell known as Paimon. Unbeknownst to him, this was all the work of a cult headed by his grandmother, who has been working towards this goal and manipulating things since long before Peter was born. Due to the nature of his possession, the demon is here with Peter in-game (more information about it can be found here, with a link to Paimon's abilities & other details!) However, the demon has been just as traumatised and messed up by this cult as Peter tbqh, so he's coming in pretty confused and weird, and won't be capable of doing much to begin with. I'd definitely love to explore more of Paimon over time!
Prior to his arrival here, Peter was in another game (The City), where he lived for about half a year and met a couple folks who are also here at Etraya. He made contact with the exorcist Johanna Constantine and was gently spooky-adopted by Vanessa Ives and all of the horrible things haunting her
Personality-wise, Peter is very shy and nervous, highly depressed, and triggered by a variety-pack of things. (If he starts screaming, crying, or throwing up, just know it's not you, it's him.) He doesn't actually explicitly know that he's hosting a demon, but he does know there's something very wrong with him, and is on the cusp of finding out the deeper truths. Coming in, he's a bit wonky (all the magic in that library made Paimon start fizzling and crackling and coming up to the surface quick) and he'll be struggling and trying to make sense of things as best he can. He'll also be in desperate need of weed, if anyone can help, please,,,,
Something else to note is that Peter displays a ton of symptoms of his possession, and it's probably pretty obvious after being around him a few times. I'm totally cool with others being aware of it, whether it's sussing it out or being able to sense it because of their own abilities, etc.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm definitely here for all the horror and mystery things! Peter's a character who comes with a smorgasbord of his own horrors, and I'm very interested in seeing how those might be shaped by the setting / might impact others as well! He's not much of a mission sort at all, and there's not anything left for him to protect or fight for back in his world.... so I think seeing how he'll do here will be really interesting?? He's kind of the worst possible candidate for something like this haha, but he hosts an immense power inside of himself that could potentially be utilised to help others? Or terrorise them horrifically?? Paimon can go both ways.... I'm just so down to see what develops, and indulge in things. Let's get spooky 👻

ABOUT YOU: Mostly into gacha fandoms hdjksg. I currently play CRK, Genshin, HSR and WUWA so if you ever wanna mess around let me know and I can give my UID! CHARACTER INFO: He's an introverted scientific genius who is going through some things since I've taken him from the end of season 1 to be nice...for now. He's low-key dying from an illness and was trying to prolong the inevitable via science and using a weird eldritch sentient magic cube he created. Nothing could go wrong with that. Anyway, he's sarcastic af, altruistic, and extremely to the point/blunt so I apologize for him, he just be that way!
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Everything?! I need this man to get into trouble while doing science experiments because that's how he is?? He's probably going to try and figure out a way to help his world and other worlds because that's just something he will do here, so any other scientists are welcome to hit him up. ABOUT YOU: Hello! I'm already here with Vincent Smith (Silent Hill 3). I did have Kimie but her energy was too much. (laughs) I needed the energy of an amoeba and that is where this new character comes to help me.
CHARACTER: Henry Townshend of Silent Hill 4.
CHARACTER INFO: Henry's the protagonist of Silent Hill 4. He is fairly articulate in his thoughts but he has issues with conveying what he's thinking aloud. Honestly, he's just a very socially awkward person who lived quite well without any connections to anyone due to his awkwardness. He lived two years in an apartment building with people only knowing his name and face, and no other facts about him. As I mentioned, unlike Vincent, he has very low energy and tends to stare blankly at people before saying something. He does, however, care deeply for people and wants to protect them as best he can.
In his canon, he was locked in his room which became its own reality. He wasn't able to exit his apartment no matter what he did, but a hole manifested in his room and he was able to crawl out into different pocket worlds. These worlds were traps for the people brought there and Henry was meant to be a witness to their gruesome deaths. He was trying to figure out why everything was happening before he came to Etraya.
(Also, due to the manner in which he speaks, it's very unlikely he'll ever be able to explain that he's a Silent Hill protagonist unless asked specific questions. So, that's fun!)
Silent Hill does come with a lot of trigger warnings. Henry has a lot less since he's not part of a cult and is more of a victim of what is going on. He has a lot of information that he knows, but he has a very hard time explaining what he's thinking to others.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: May be embarrassing to say, but everything! Let's do everything! There really isn't anything that I'm not down for with Henry. Like he's willing to do whatever he can to help those that are around him, or really do any task that they ask as he has the backbone of an eclair. I am going to set up an open log for him sometime this week of him taking his apartment door off - so, yeah, hope to meet others that he can be awkward.
I think the main thing is... Henry doesn't dislike people. He cares about people, but his social awkwardness has made it difficult for him to get close to others. However, he is starting and wanting to come back to finding connections with others and looking out for them (as they would him).

CHARACTER INFO: An Zhe is a mushroom who turned into a human and has under a year of experience as one, but he's doing his best!! He's a very calm kid, to the point that he's been accused multiple times of being unfeeling/emotionless in times when other people would normally be some level of emotional, but really he does feel things just...at mushroom levels... Anyway he can also transform back into a mushroom whenever he wants, but please don't eat him because if a tiny nibble can knock you out for 8 hours then eating the whole shroom might kill you? Also also he has the cool ability to absorb the DNA of any living creature and potentially transform (or partially transform) into them, so if you ever want your character to get eaten—

CHARACTER INFO: The Archive is a collection of all of humanity's written knowledge in one 14 year old girl. Anything that's written, she knows. This ability is not active in Etraya, so all your writing is safe! I also don't want to deal with 4th walling so I'm pretending that all her knowledge of media is just slightly off. At first she's going to be very much set in her ways of not wanting to get close to people or admit that perhaps her very rigid life isn't the greatest, but with time she will warm up.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm interested in engineering Good Things for her but also want to make sure she goes through some tough times. Her life has been mostly sheltered up to now and it'll be good for the Archive to have life experiences both good and bad!

ABOUT YOU: Hi, I'm Renee and I am a librarian! I most recently played at Metaheroes, but I have played in Camp Fuck U Die (CFUD or as Mayu refers most times, "Camp") and in Sidereal.
When at home, I bounce around between video games as my whims take me. My main MMORPG is Final Fantasy XIV (chilling out on Brynhildr and Cactuar). Over winter break, I've played things like Balatro, Arkham Asylum and Animal Crossing. I'm making good progress in the first Hades (2nd win recently) and looking forward to the next patch of Baldur's Gate 3 (new paladin subclass calls to me). I'm trying to keep up with the English volume releases of SpyxFamily and the Tom Taylor Nightwing runs-- while also taking the opportunity while sitting for hours at a time in front of ALL THE BOOKS to... read some of them. ummmm I also play in-person D&D (usually on Sundays)?
I come from the old school LJRP/DWRP school of spam commenting, but I can tack extra commentary on when the situation calls for it. Will do my best to match!
CHARACTER: Shiraki Mayuko from Fruits Basket, with some previous games under her belt. Her timeline (compressed) is Canon (Vol. 13) -> CFUD -> Sidereal -> Arrival in Etraya.
CHARACTER INFO: Mayuko is at her core a Responsible Adult-- in canon she's a high school teacher. In games she's been a librarian (preceding my IRL degree even) of a zombie summer sleepaway camp for 5 years and the manager of a large community kitchen/meeting hall in another jamjar. She's witnessed A LOT! While she's not interested in TEACHING-teaching out here, she does like sharing info and telling stories about the Bad Old Days. (Set Mayuko in front of Tatiana, she'll keep her occupied for AGES.) She's developed a smidgeon of combat ability while dungeon-delving, but isn't what you could call a front-line fighter (not a lot of action like that in her shoujo manga). If there are young people in trouble, the Kill Bill sirens go off. She's in love with Sohma Hatori and it's the SLOWBURNIEST OF ROMANCES but she's still holding on, damnit! She will bring her floofy-cat-from-CFUD Daichi over ASAP because he was her emotional support pet for the five-year duration :|d
CR -wise, she's a Type B tsundere (ie easygoing-to-neutral to start, gets angrier the more she cares) who wants to provide and be of service to people. Maybe she'll bring her own bookstore or the Mess Hall one day, idk how that works yet? She does know A Jason Todd of Pinky's... but not the one here, and I took her from before any related DC identities besides his got dropped FOR SURE, I got you BatFam. I'm going to keep my plans open and see what comes.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I enjoy plotty things--the tragedy of Sidereal was that there was so much left to uncover before its end, I look forward to everything to learn in Etraya. All the elements listed, I am A-OK with. I am down for exploring, ridiculous happenings and scary things, and I wrangle my attention span the hardest when there's mission objectives to get after. Small-talk is harder for me to keep momentum in :(

ABOUT YOU: im into a lot of fandoms, specially one piece, naruto, twisted wonderland, fire emblem (3 houses, awakening, fates, feh), and a few others i can't think of right now. I'm very into stationery, collecting figures (specially super sonico ones) and posting pictures of my dog everywhere.
CHARACTER: Portgas D. Ace from ONE PIECE!
CHARACTER INFO: Ace is a sweetheart, older brother to Luffy, and overall nice guy. His self esteem isn't the greatest, but he still tries to be positive! I think he'll take a bit to settle in, but he goes along with anything as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Fluff is good, but Ace would do great in things where he has to fight! let him run wild! He'd like to explore for sure, he's a pirate through and through. Though horror-elements would go far for me specifically, even if Ace won't like it.

ABOUT YOU: I'm a big Final Fantasy fan, as well as Fire Emblem and various other video games. I'm also big into Star Trek and Gundam and other stuff. For my day job I am a professional botanist / ecologist (working towards my PhD), ask me about plants if you want to get a wall of text about how amazing they are.
In terms of tagging style, I am definitely a cross-country runner and not a sprinter! I like to write a lot and I do my best to tag back steadily but sometimes I take a day or two off between tags. Sometimes things get busy in the research mines (and also the workplace organizing mines, by the way you should unionize your workplace) but I try to communicate that when it happens.
CHARACTER: Paine from Final Fantasy X-2, aka We Overthrew A Theocracy, Let's Party (Oh Shit There's An Evil Motorcycle In the Basement)
CHARACTER INFO: Paine is a sarcastic swordfighter who might complain about trouble but is usually up for getting into it. She's from a world that threw off the shackles of the Church of Lies and Genocide a couple of years ago (not to mention a giant angry whale) and the thing about growing up under the Church of Lies and Genocide is that you become instinctually very skeptical of anyone proclaiming major information unless they also deliver major evidence... which she doesn't have yet, so a lot of her conversations will probably include the phrase "do you believe the game premise is true" hahaha.
She's mostly personable as long as you're not prying into her past. She's got a pretty dry sense of humor, but she's not mean or a wet blanket (she might point out the logical flaws in a bad idea you're planning, but that doesn't mean she'll actually stop you from doing it). She's just Boundaries Woman.
The best way to get to know her is probably to do a thing together; she judges people on what she sees them do with her own eyes, not whatever might be said about them (positive or negative). That's how you get Respect Points™
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Paine is pretty much a professional adventurer, but with a purpose, and that is RESEARCH. She's a goth Indiana Jones. And she is very, very much about the importance of history and information--a big reason she got into sphere-hunting back home was to uncover all the things that the evil church had buried over the centuries, because everyone has the right to know the truth. Her main focus is definitely going to be figuring out if Echo is telling the truth because she's had too much of "this is true and we'll kill you for straying from it, except for the fact that it's 1,000 years of a lie that has killed untold numbers because our founder didn't practice safe summoning."
