We're still figuring out what pacing works best with our player base, and are adjusting as well as we can to ensure the game is fun for everyone involved! We do have our September Feedback Post, which we invite you to use to let us know if you have any questions/concerns/feedback/ideas that can assist in making the game easier to engage with for you. We would like to remind everyone that we are continuing to use one plotting post for each mission. For this mission, this would be our plotting post that went up in early September! As we have new players joining us, we would encourage you to please check it out to see if there are any new comments. We have also edited the FAQ to cover topics that were asked about under the mod queries header, to save players reading through all the individual questions. Additionally, don't forget your Activity! ABOUT YOU: I am a voracious reader, a crafter of many kinds although mostly origami and crochet, and not really big on the whole engaging fandoms although I will happily discuss canons with people and writing and such. I tend to mostly do prose tagging for logs, and do my best to pack as much in as I can. Negative CR is just as good as positive to me, as long as we can be friendly as players.

CHARACTER: Sleeper | Marvel Comics Venom lineup

CHARACTER INFO: Sleeper plays at being the quintessential cat. They can be aloof or cuddly, but definitely interested in themself first and foremost. Since symbiotes are asexual, I use they/them pronouns exclusively with this character. Genders are for those who are wired for sexual reproduction. They will happily accept all praise, adoration, and pets as long as things don't go overboard. After all, it's not like they really need anyone else to survive, they can handle things just fine. (Until they can't.)

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Definitely interested in exploring the hows and whys of the Echo and what brought everyone in and how they might be able to return/save their worlds. This character has a lot to explore in the concept of agency and self-determination versus outside influence/control, as well as basically being a descendent of the eldritch horrors of their universe, so they definitely will dive into that. I don't have a particular direction I want to go at this time.

I can't be blamed for the strange nutrition requirements of symbiotes in Marvel. Sleeper is much more fond of chocolate, and tries to avoid eating anyone they've been introduced to.

I have always thought Loki would appreciate cats. He will definitely find Sleeper interesting.

I think they'd appreciate Loki's nature and find them fun. I know in comics Loki actually has shapeshifted to a cat, and the way they define it is that he can turn to anything he shares a nature with.

Sleeper, like Loki, is much better as a friend than anything else.

I do tend to play Loki with the ability to shape shift. I only draw on MCU stuff for the most part, but Thor does mention him turning into a snake, so I figure that’s safe ground. I should really turn him into a cat more.

Maybe they can be cat friends.

I won't argue with drawing on elements of mythology for shapes. I mean, his kids with his wife in myth are Jormungandr and Fenrir, and he's Sleepnir's mother. Loki is as Loki does. And usually he isn't actively trying to ruin things.

So, yeah, anything you want to do sounds good to me. Sleeper is a cat because they LIKE being a cat. They could have picked something else, but this was for their sort-of brother, who wasn't a dog person and they didn't particularly care for the wolf-shape.

I do enjoy those myths. Since I tend to draw on the MCU version, I usually play him as childless but aware of those stories. I think mostly he would enjoy that people think those things of him. But yes, even in the MCU, mostly, with some exception, he’s trying to make things better, at least at first. But you know, the whole destined to fail thing keeps coming into play. And we just won’t mention New York 😆

I'll look forward to it. And while Sleeper might mention being from New York, they won't consider his attempted destruction any worse than all the other times they can recall. Apparently nobody bothers to remember that there's dozens of superheroes there when they make their invasion plans.

In Loki's case, he has an excuse because, well, there weren't the horde of heroes then.

Loki will actually be really appreciative of that. He hardly expects much forgiveness, though he wasn’t expecting to ever see anyone affected by his actions again either.
