⏵ July State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! As we're sure you've noticed: Etraya has quickly grown from the small game it was originally intended to be, to having almost one hundred players. While the game has continued to grow, our moderator team has remained the small group we originally started with. We're confident we're capable of maintaining gameplay and putting out missions with our current team. Still, we realize there are areas players may want to interact with that we lack the availability to support as efficiently as we would like to. The game will continue to run regardless of any additional moderator support we're able to get, but we would like to put out an interest call to see if anyone would like to join the mod team! Things we could use assistance with: Listkeeping Running activity check Throwing spaghetti at walls NPCs, if playing an NPC is of interest! Getting completed posts up on time Weekend availability would be extremely useful, but isn't necessary Proofreading RNGing characters into roles, such as the family units of the current mission Mission ideas! This is just an example list; if there's another aspect of modding you may be interested in, feel free to reach out! Our current team shares all tasks, but we're relatively flexible and like to think we're pretty chill. We don't have any requirements, nor will we put up a form for this! ABOUT YOU: Oh gosh, where to begin? I'm a nerd who is familiar to a lot of you, and I've been in this hobby for quite a long time. Fandoms I'm in right now include DunMeshi or Delicious in Dungeon, depending on what you want to call it, RWBY, Fate/, and a variety of others that veer onto the fantasy/adventure genre, with some outliers like The Devil is a Part Timer and Laid Back Camp. I like photography, I've been into legos lately, and I recently moved North after spending most of my life in Sunny FL, so I'm still getting used to how the seasons up here work again.

I'm hoping to do more hiking and getting more wilderness photography in before the summer ends. Fingers crossed!

CHARACTER: Marcille Donato from Delicious in Dungeon

CHARACTER INFO: Just because Marcille was an honor student and teacher's assistant at her magic school does not mean she's prepared to hold the entire world in her hands. She is well aware of the limits to her understanding of the world and frankly believes that she isn't necessarily Hero material. However, lotteries and numbers have as little morality as magic-- and who is she to question circumstances that she doesn't fully understand yet?

She's curious about learning everything she can, and will be very happy she doesn't need to eat monsters for every meal for the time being, although she's very concerned about her party and her friends.


CR NOTES: I'm open to a variety of things, but I'm not into negative plots that don't have a planned resolution and romantic stuff will require some discussion and flexibility.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I'm intrigued by the mystery and exploration, the opportunity for a variety of plots, and the flexibility we have here to push this nerd in directions that isn't necessarily comfortable for her. The variety here is awesome and frankly I'm giggling at the possibilities that just fell into my lap with this application round.

But also she isn't entirely fond of her own world to begin with, and will avoid admitting from being from the same one as the rest of the mcu as long as she can get away with it. She's pretty sure she's a terrible representative. Her cooperation might be iffy.
CR NOTES: anything honestly, she's been living in isolation since forever and only really has one person she trusts, who is not here. So the whole making friends thing js entirely new to her. She's a bit difficult on purpose so negative cr is welcome. But she's also sweet i promise. She doesn't know any of these mcu people personally but she knows OF them. Also she enjoys stalking and spying on people, so if anyone wants to have fun with that?

Definitely here to get involved in fun missions and the overarching plot, and wrangling Ava into actually caring about any of it beyond "i hate this." Horror is great!!! Definitely anything that forces or heavily incentivizes participation. She loves to get into trouble and cause trouble, and go about things the wrong way because rules are dumb.

CHARACTER: Mercedes von Martritz from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
CHARACTER INFO: Calm, pious, motherly, and pretty much a girl who goes at her own pace. Mercedes loves housework and baking, and is a devout believer of the goddess. She's a great healer and has a high aptitude for magic, and a special talent for the bow. However, she doesn't like exercising, and tends to move at her own pace. She's sweet and very understanding of others, but can be easily angered by injustice or bullying. Overall, just a nice older sister you can hang out with and expect baked treats from.
CR NOTES: I'm new so anything goes! I'd like to have her get established, so knowing all kinds of characters would be good since she'll get a better feel of the place. Also, anyone who wants cookies I guess.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I think her main concern right now is to figure out how to help their world, so anything that drives towards that is her mission. Otherwise, she would probably settle down in a routine that allows her to help out in day-to-day tasks, and maybe eventually get a job in between missions.

CHARACTER: Yuri Leclerc | Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
CHARACTER INFO:
Born to extreme poverty, Yuri has known struggle all his life. He's scraped and clawed his way up in the world, by charm, by wit, and unsavory means that have left him with a deep sense of self-loathing. Despite a fearsome criminal reputation, Yuri's men sing his praises as a leader who uplifts and inspires them. He yearns to build a world in which no one will die of poverty, though he believes that world should have no place for the likes of him.

To have any hope of achieving that, apparently he has to prove his world deserves to exist first. The goddess is testing him.

CR NOTES:
Yuri will act surface-level friendly, charm is a sharp weapon in his arsenal, but sincere close relationships will take work. Trust will take work. He's one of those fakers with a fake name only his mother and this one snoop who read his mail from her happen to actually know. The tradeoff for a slow burn is that Yuri's a fiercely loyal man, and a shrewd ally to have in one's corner.

Yuri's less guarded around kids, especially orphans. He has a tendency to look out for others, children and the poor especially, because he knows full well how they get trampled underfoot or forgotten by those on high. Ideally, I'd like to see him get a mix of relationships, maybe serve a mentor or big brotherly role to some, get some training buddies, acquaint himself with other schemers, the works. Sincerely goodhearted, honest people will worry him and he'll try to protect them. Eventually I'd like to see him grow to trust people and open up, but it'll take some doing.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
As a Faerghan, Yuri's an mvp at survival, so I'd love to have him use his skills. If exploration and limited supplies are a factor, he's your pretty little champ. He can make leaves and roots appetizing — he's that guy. Also very willing to throw him in the opposite direction, at things he has no idea how to contend with. Give him your space horrors. Give his medieval butt your wild scifi tech (he's actually pretty interested!)

ABOUT YOU: Currently, I'm one of the last still obsessed with the MCU. Or rather Loki and all things Loki. I'm happy to have a mix of network and log types. Sometimes I really like a long, in depth tag, and something I like short and fun dialogue. It all depends. Outside of rp, I work in television and watch a LOT of it both in and out of work. I just caught up on Hazbin Hotel and finished season 1 of Helluva Boss and I'm in the middle of the whole AMC/Anne Rice saga to name a few.
CHARACTER: Loki, MCU
CHARACTER INFO: Loki thinks the people running Etraya are full of shit. I've taken him from after his ascension where he was resigning himself to the lonely existence of ensuring all timelines can survive and thrive, so the idea that he has to prove 'his timeline' which is all timelines just makes him think they have made a horrible mistake. He will be spending much of his time trying to get a meet and greet with the head honchos, much like he did with the Time Keepers/Kang.
CR NOTES: Though I decided not to CRAU him from The City, there are a few people here that know him and Loki will definitely use friendly faces to make new (to him) allies. Anyone who is interested in getting out, he'll be happy to hear from. I'm also happy to have some negative CR. I know there are a bunch of MCU people here that know him, so anyone who might want to have a bit of a confrontation, I'm good with it, but Loki won't be who they remember.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Honestly, I'm interested in it all. I love a good balance between intense/scary and soft/fluffy. Also, of course, Loki is very interested in the mystery behind the scenes. He needs to know who's running this place and why, if they really want to save what they can of the multiverse, would they remove him from his throne?

I like to boomerang, but I also can be a bit slow, although I try to respond at least once a day. I have a lot of patience, so don't worry if it takes you awhile, I don't judge. It's a game and I'm here to have fun!

CHARACTER: Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd || Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Azure Moon
CHARACTER INFO: This man is very much not ready to be here. In fact he was just about to so he thinks get revenge upon the woman he thinks responsible for his misery.

The canon point I am plucking Dimitri out of is one of his most mercurial and volatile states of mind. His mental health is in a very delicate state and depending on who he is interacting with, what thoughts are spiraling in his head, and his general stress levels you can see a wide variety in the way he acts.

At his core Dimitri is a very kind, sincere, and compassionate man. He believes he must break the cycle of the strong trampling the weak, but with this idea he is unable to reconcile with the idea of killing for one’s ideals ever being an appropriate action to take. In this, he has rather black-and-white thinking as he dehumanizes all killers as monsters, including himself. He holds a great deal of self hatred within his heart.
CR NOTES: What with being new I'm open to everything at the moment. Let me know if you want to deal with a less feral Dimitri- he is on his way to recovery, so if you want you can interact with him on one of his better days. Unless you want the full skrunkle. In which case I would be delighted for them to fuck around and find out.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I am super excited for a mix of things. I abso-freaking-lutly love horror and all that is creepy. I also like ridiculous fluff and hilarity to break the tension. A good balance would be nice, but boy howdy do I like drama so if the tension breaks are less that's cool too. I'm interested in mysteries and exploring the human soul. I think it would be neat if every character got pushed to their brink and had to live with the knowledge of what they're capable of. I know Dimitri is sorta almost there, but it would be great for him to see others go through it and how they cope better to give him some idea on how to accept himself. I'd also be interested in some Alice in Borderland type stuff.

Also-- I am not sure that I have the time for Big Mod Duties(tm), but if you have any clerical list keeping, AC checking/point distribution type stuff I would be happy to help.

ABOUT YOU: I am currently very into Enstars and, of course, Fire Emblem (specifically 3 Houses right now). I am an avid reader with a preference for fantasy (of all flavors), scy fy, and horror. My favorite book series is the Shades of Magic series by V.E. Schwab. I also enjoy podcasts. Old Gods of Appalachia is my all time favorite. I have picked up a couple of needlepoint hobbies but I think I have only finished one project out of all of the ones that I started. I'm getting back into cosplay again now that I have the space to make stuff.


CHARACTER: Claude von Riegan | Fire Emblem: Three Houses
CHARACTER INFO: Claude is the secret heir to the Almyran throne and the single direct heir to House Reigan of the Leicester Alliance. His mother was born a noble in Fodlan (a neighboring country with a long history of violence and bloodshed with Almyra) and eloped to marry his father, the king of Almyra. His mixed heritage growing up was a huge point of contention in his life, to the point where he fled Almyra for his own safety. These experiences awakened a desire in Claude to dedicate his life to uniting all nations and breaking down borders to create a safer world for everyone where people can celebrated for their differences, not othered because of them.

Claude is a skilled leader, charismatic, a jokester, curious, sneaky, and very adaptable. He is also the type of person who, if someone tells him that something is off-limits, it only makes him want to figure it out more. Even though Claude wants to best for the people around him and the world to be a peaceful place, he is jaded and guarded. It can take a while for him to trust others and he is suspicious of authority figures. He is also willing to do just about anything to reach his goals.
CR NOTES: I am open to pretty much anything! I missed role playing on the internet with a bunch of other (lovingly) weirdos.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I love horror, folklore, and mysteries. I like when people are forced to work together or be doomed to fail. I also love cute little things like meet cutes and coffee shop au vibes. I enjoy crafting complex relationships with other characters.

CHARACTER: Nami, from the Netflix One Piece Live Action
CHARACTER INFO: Having had to do probably a number of unsavory things to survive (and steal coin/berry) for nearly her entire life, strife is her wheelhouse. Nami's used to being in hot water. Maybe not like this situation, though; she's done a lot of thievery and lying to get what she needs to protect those she cares about, but it's always been for the sake of just a village and not the entire world. It's going to take some getting used to the realization she's now accountable for everyone where she's from. Her main concern will be the safety of the crew of the Merry, a concern that might be just a little ameliorated if and when she finds out any of them are here in Etraya with her.
Will she make friends, here? She's certainly going to use people to her advantage, so if that's part of it, it might just happen. If she develops feelings for any of them along the way, that's probably entirely her fault.
CR NOTES: As mentioned, unless it's someone she implicitly trusts, Nami plays her cards close to her chest and isn't going to open up to most until they've proven themselves worthy, somehow. This might mean she ends up befriending some, taking some under her wing, or throwing them under a proverbial bus. I apologize in advance. 😂
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Bring on the horror, the murder, the mystery, the fluff, all of it! Nami is a rough-and-tumble character but she's not without a conscience, a heart, and that sticky, messy thing called compassion.
Exploration will be a huge draw for her in any particular mission, because this girl knows how to protect herself while maintaining an insatiable curiosity.
