Devoting your life to being a gamer and having strong opinions about nerd things is the safer path in life. Krouse also coincidentally lost everyone he knew due to his own actions, so what's a better foundation for new branching out than 'oh, god, I have nothing'?

For all the lows Krouse has stooped to actively antagonizing eleven year olds for the hell of it is not yet one of them. That's not to say he can't be or won't be annoying in other ways, so if he does get stabbed, he has it coming.
