⏵ June State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! We hope you enjoyed your time at Summer Camp! Or if your character had the fun of going off to Solmara, we hope they enjoyed fighting beasts, and convincing Borealis to come out of hiding! For this application round, we have opted to keep them open an additional week. We announced this over plurk, but realize not everyone checks there! Their new closure date will be July 4th. This will not impact our log or posting schedule at all. In addition, as of today, June 27th, the X-Men cast is no longer under cap. We've got our arrival mingle going up later today to welcome new characters! Please keep an eye out for it. On July 11th, our mission announcement and plotting post will be going up. We do want to note that this next mission will be off world, and we intend for its' duration to be four weeks. As always, we strive to be flexible and build our missions up to suit our player base/characters currently in game, so if we need to slow it down some or put up any additional logs mid-mission, we may check in with our players during to get a feel on if that would help any. Our last feedback post went up on June 19th with our next coming up on September 18th - but we welcome feedback throughout the year regardless of if there's a specific post asking for it! You are always welcome to comment to our older feedback posts with any concerns, comments, or ideas of what we can do to improve the game. We can't promise to bring everything into play, but we do listen to the ideas that have been brought our way and have implemented many player suggestions in the past. SHE'LL BLAME HIM FOR WHATEVER SHE WANTS. She made Aline aware of how she feels. :D

Right? Clea is so angry at her parents and erasing that would be...wrong. So it's wrong to make Renoir unable to be that level of mad. It's a version of her Papa who has to let everyone hurt him and wtf that isn't okay! (She actually loves her Papa very much and does not want other people to hurt him regardless of how much she wants to slap him.)

Renoir's basically taking on the burden for Aline's grief, which she made him inherit. Part of that is how her actions are making her family made - so their responses are going to go his way naturally. Yeah.

I don't think Clea knows Aline made him inherit her grief either? Because she is intelligent enough to piece that together and just... imagine THAT conversation. Being a grieving father every minute of every day and you can never change or move on. No wonder he can't grow.

Yeah, she doesn't know. She showed up enough to get the Uncanny Valley NOPE but not the details, and I don't think she and Verso really discussed P!Renoir outside of 'how much of a problem is he?' Clea would be LIVID, as the member of the family who seems to actually interact with reality. Keeping him like that and using him as a crutch is cruel, disturbing, wrong, and infantile. (They're supposed to be art objects, not therapy objects. Aline is doing it wrong.)

Exactly. But because he considers himself real he can never consider her opinions and those of his son from the other angle. More escapism. If you think about it, given how deluded he is, he's inherited her delusion as well since that was brought on by the same grief. He's more put together but you know he's not in his right mind when he's forced into that impossible position of fighting his son he's coded so hard to save that he would sacrifice Aline's health.

It's going to be a mess and I can't wait.

It's all spoils

It makes sense. Aline isn't/can't paint the parts of real Renoir that enable him to see what she's doing isn't healthy (because that would require her to see it and respect it), so p!Renoir can only have her delusions.
