Hello, Etrayans!

We hope you enjoyed your time at Summer Camp! Or if your character had the fun of going off to Solmara, we hope they enjoyed fighting beasts, and convincing Borealis to come out of hiding!

For this application round, we have opted to keep them open an additional week. We announced this over plurk, but realize not everyone checks there! Their new closure date will be July 4th. This will not impact our log or posting schedule at all. In addition, as of today, June 27th, the X-Men cast is no longer under cap.

We've got our arrival mingle going up later today to welcome new characters! Please keep an eye out for it. On July 11th, our mission announcement and plotting post will be going up. We do want to note that this next mission will be off world, and we intend for its' duration to be four weeks. As always, we strive to be flexible and build our missions up to suit our player base/characters currently in game, so if we need to slow it down some or put up any additional logs mid-mission, we may check in with our players during to get a feel on if that would help any.

Our last feedback post went up on June 19th with our next coming up on September 18th - but we welcome feedback throughout the year regardless of if there's a specific post asking for it! You are always welcome to comment to our older feedback posts with any concerns, comments, or ideas of what we can do to improve the game. We can't promise to bring everything into play, but we do listen to the ideas that have been brought our way and have implemented many player suggestions in the past. Our Mod Contact page is always open in case you would like a screened location to reach out to.

Don't forget your Activity! This is just a comment with your handle and characters' names for new players. You are welcome to submit TDM threads for activity points if wanted. Our activity results post always goes up on the 1st of the month, and we have switched to providing a warning list for characters who have yet to responded to AC with an additional five days to respond from the date our results post goes up.

ABOUT YOU: I'm all about DC comics at the moment, but I have an enduring love for MCU and Star Wars and Supernatural among other things. I am a sometimes mid, often slow tagger because of work and also recent medical issues (it's been/is an ongoing whole thing) but please don't hesitate to give me a poke if you want to tag or just drop in on a top level/in the ic inbox!

CHARACTER: Dick Grayson of DC comics fame, specifically Rebirth flavor
CHARACTER INFO: Dick is an outgoing, positive and all-around supportive sort of guy, even when he isn't swinging around in a suit doing his vigilante hero thing. He's also a fairly shameless showboat (honestly what would anyone expect from a former circus kid that was adopted by none other than Bruce Wayne) but he genuinely cares The Most about his friends and family and helping people because that's not just a job, it's his mission in life. That said he sticks to his metaphorical guns on morality, so that can get very friction-y with types that are willing to do a little murder and such to accomplish a goal.

PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: A little bit of everything really! I like to even out the fluffy stuff with more tense, dramatic interludes, and Dick is a very flexible character (lol) as far as getting involved in just about anything, so I'm looking forward to letting him do what he does best as well as stretch out and get into the best/worst the the multiverse has to offer.

I was late to the TDM party, but based on his Leap of Faith prompt, I can see some kind of friendly competitive thing (with Clea always losing ;-;). She's a dancer, also has showboating tendencies, and is extremely competitive. She's also jealous of the circus kids. (In her time aerial arts still had no nets and were like...done in people's swimming pools and unfortunately she had parents who cared that she would have cracked her head open.)

It might be fun until Dick realizes she's one of those 'types that are willing to do a little murder and such to accomplish a goal'... oops.

Aw, that's no problem! I imagine that Dick will be happy to compete with her and challenge her because that'll help her improve, plus it's just fun to have people around who really put their all into it. And yes, Dick is very anti-murder but rather than just fight or stay away from those people he will always choose to engage, so that revelation would just make things interesting

It is fun, they'd agree on that. She gives her all to everything and has a perfectionistic and competitive streak that would make the challenge both fun and infuriating to her. The best kind of fun! The kind where she wants to scream afterward and spends hours practicing because she will best that twerp, yes, she will.

To be fair, it's complicated. Most of her violence is constrained to her little fantasy worlds (which is still very much not okay and needs to be addressed as the power abuse it is) and the result of severe grief. Her actual in the real world murder plans are limited to people she thinks are responsible for said grief, so at least she's not like... pro-actively murdery.

She could easily end up in a bad place, but if she gets some help she's far from irredeemable. Just one of those 'morals are for children' types who thinks the world is cruel and you have to be cruel back.

Dick definitely has a lot of experience with troubled types like that, and he won't be easily discouraged from trying to convince her that there are better ways to deal with those problems/emotions ;D

Brotherrrr… ❤️ Jason will be glad there’s another emotionally competent Bat around again after all the recent events. Jason and Babs have been doing their best but it’s been a lot!

Also, Jason’s been regaling Babs about how nice WFA world is. I look forward to when Dick picks up how much more emotionally healthy this iteration of Jason is.

It is a lot for two people, Dick is happy to make it at least three! Especially with little bitty Damian running around causing more chaos than usual.

I think he's picking it up quick and is trying to process how he feels about it because it's a very good thing? But also what does that say about his struggles with Jason back home?? But that aside he is going to inflict as much brotherly affection on him as he can take without getting grossed out~

Hey there! I've only heard about the show and seen a few clips, one day I may watch out of curiosity but yeah haha. It's going to take Dick a little while to wrap his head around this particular kind of angry Jason, but he's absolutely going to work on it! I'm betting this means he's going to have to come bother Jason again asap
