⏵ June State of the Game and Arrivals ⏴ Hello, Etrayans! We hope you enjoyed your time at Summer Camp! Or if your character had the fun of going off to Solmara, we hope they enjoyed fighting beasts, and convincing Borealis to come out of hiding! For this application round, we have opted to keep them open an additional week. We announced this over plurk, but realize not everyone checks there! Their new closure date will be July 4th. This will not impact our log or posting schedule at all. In addition, as of today, June 27th, the X-Men cast is no longer under cap. We've got our arrival mingle going up later today to welcome new characters! Please keep an eye out for it. On July 11th, our mission announcement and plotting post will be going up. We do want to note that this next mission will be off world, and we intend for its' duration to be four weeks. As always, we strive to be flexible and build our missions up to suit our player base/characters currently in game, so if we need to slow it down some or put up any additional logs mid-mission, we may check in with our players during to get a feel on if that would help any. Our last feedback post went up on June 19th with our next coming up on September 18th - but we welcome feedback throughout the year regardless of if there's a specific post asking for it! You are always welcome to comment to our older feedback posts with any concerns, comments, or ideas of what we can do to improve the game. We can't promise to bring everything into play, but we do listen to the ideas that have been brought our way and have implemented many player suggestions in the past. ABOUT YOU: I love a lot of fandoms, but mostly talk about video games (Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Tales of Series, Final Fantasy, etc.), books, and some live action television/movies. CHARACTER: Thor Odinson from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (before Ragnarök for now)
CHARACTER INFO: Um, Thor tends to be loud and gregarious, but he's also a very kind and empathic person who is willing to do anything to help those he cares about. (Even if they tried to kill him a time or ten... Loki.) While he looks like a giant dumb jock, he's surprisingly smart and can understand pretty complex concepts with little explanations. He just ignores it because he's a fan of the most direct resolutions: Can smash, yes/yes? He is CRAU from a sex game, so let me know if you have anything you'd like to avoid talking about or if you'd like to opt out of CR with him.
PLOTS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Thor is the type to take on anything, but he's mostly good for protection/fighting things, so I would love to have him out there trying to find out why they're here and who is in charge. However, I also want him to make friends (it's easy for him) and to sort of make a found family since most of his is now dead...

Brother! Excited to see you here. Been really slow lately as I’ve been waylaid by an epic cold but we should definitely plan something.

I’ve brought Loki directly from his throne at the end of season 2 so he’s much calmer and more reasonable than the last time Thor would have seen him. And he’d love to be on good terms with Thor.

SO! Good news for Loki is that Thor is CRAU from Duplicity with a Loki that was very much from the end of season 1 of the series, I think. So, Loki and Thor had a LOT of conversations about things. So, if you'd like to thread that out, it would be fine with me, otherwise, we can talk out what happened between them as well. I'm flexible.

TL;DR: Thor is more than happy to be on good terms with Loki because they're the only family they have left.

That is great news for Loki. He’ll be relieved that he doesn’t have to explain so much and apologize overly (though I’m sure there will be a bit of an apology still). I wouldn’t mind a bit of a thread on just Loki finding out how much Thor knows and finding out when he’s from. We could even make it part of their TDM thread if you want. I’m also flexible.

I would never turn down a thread with Loki and Thor being vulnerable. What sort of Thor player would I be if I did? I'm all for turning it over in the TDM thread, since I would love to continue that (now that things have calmed down on my end).

Yes, solve your problems by smashing them! Clea would love to solve her problems that way. She likes making monsters for smashing if he's a training/fighting sort. All he'd have to put up with is her alternating between seething jealousy (because she would like to have muscles for smashing) and some light objectification.

Smashing problems seems like a reasonable solution, honestly. And, even if Thor doesn't start off with that solution, they generally end up that way. Especially since he and Hulk are around...

And he is okay with her being jealous and desiring him because, um, that is his life? But, no, he's also the kind to try and teach her how to buff up? Who knows. Asgardians are not the same as humans, so his methods may not translate, but he'll try.

She's jealous of both of them. If she were English, she'd need a fainting couch. She wants to Hulk Smash so many things. (She is sad and angry about it.)

She's in about as good a shape as she can get for a 29-year old human woman from 1905 who doesn't spend 6+ hours a day working at it. Introduce her to protein powder. lol. And present her with the devil's choice of 'more gains = better punching' but leaner = better dancing. WHY IS LIFE SO CRUEL?

Okay I feel like these two need to meet. Thor being loud and gregarious is going to make him the straight man in any relationship they might have and I find that hilarious.

But they're also fond of direct solutions and ACTIONS. They're very much about protecting people [though for Renoir's case it's complicated and pretty limited to family.]

Just let me know what Clair Obscur spoilers are good for you (perils of a new canon) and we can hash some stuff out?

Thor being the straight man is such a funny thought. It reminds me of "Get Help" in Ragnarok and I love that scene *so much*.

Protection is always complicated, but they can definitely bond over things. Especially since Loki's somewhere to ruin Thor's image. (It's only a matter of time.)

I haven't played the game and I probably won't for a while, so spoilers are fine. So long as they're marked for others.

Renoir is basically a magical painting of a woman's husband. She lost her son in a fire and fled into a magical/living canvas and painted her family to escape her grief. The woman and her family are normal humans in the real world of their canon - but inside the paintings they make they are basically living gods. Renoir is aware of the fact but there's a lot more to it.

Verso (apped by Ruri) is his son. The Clea who apped is the real world version of his own daughter (Painted Clea).

So yeah. Massive spoilers that might play off the MCU's approach to magic and all that. If you like, I can add you to Plurk? That's where I tend to do all the good spoiler stuff and it'd be good to chatter about these two!
