Linhardt is 100% on board the science and tech train, but that's because it's forbidden knowledge in his world (whereas magic = A-OK) and because he doesn't know where it leads. He might be less enthusiastic if he knew science leads to surveillance and office jobs. He finds admin and logistics work terrifyingly boring; the idea of a world where that's what most people do is horrifying!

Since she's old enough, she probably/might recognize that his clothes and his bag aren't modern make, either. They aren't factory manufactured, and there's no 'modern' techniques or materials involved - just very fancy/well-made Ye Olde Clothees. Just in case she has any feelings about the oddness.
