The intention is to give him a bit more of a heads up: his little guy will be becoming nightmarish long after everyone else's, so he'll know what's up and have time to prepare/try to avoid it happening to begin with. It can be less intense, or can stagnate at some point in the process. Whatever is most fun to play with.
